17th march 1983

Dear Diary,
It's been nearly a week since I last wrote- but never mind! Sheba our puppy (we changed it's name cos it's a girl) may have to go away.I don't want it to as it's really sweet. Jenny Morgan's gonna ask her dad if she can have it. I hope he says 'yes' then I can go and see it. By the way Jenny's had her hair cut. It looks OK. It makes her look older!
I simply must mention- There's a person I can't stand. Kiki! She is always looking at me in maths!
Sarah's been away lately. She won't be back till next week. Oh.
For Art we have Ms Donaldson now instead of Mr Sampson. She's quite nice.

Mrs Marsh (Chemistry) makes me really sick sometimes. She loves shaming people up. Just cos I said 'wieght' instead of 'density' she started. Most of us got shamed up. Especially Paulette who wants to pick all three sciences. Mandy had to stay behind.
    Others have been having their options interview. Most went well. Jenny can't have commerce, and as well as mine they want to change Fi's commerce to economics. ALL of Katherine's subjects clashed. She's got to pick different ones, poor girl.
      Oh yea, yesterday we had the volleyball tournament. My house, Miranda came last as usual. The netball tournament is on Thursday and I might be in it but I don't want to because that's when we're making cream easter cake in home ec.
      Me and daddy made one of the white chest o'drawers. It's in my room now. For my room next door I'm getting wall paper, quilt and curtains alike. White with small pink love 'arts on 'em.
At about 8o'clock me and Jen went to Jonah's house. We were the first. Tony looks different. We had a quiz on Acts 27. Later Elsa and the Spencers came. When Sister June came we read through the play for the youth congress.
